In June of 2018, we released IsaacAI, online website auditing tool built to help web admins quickly identify any issues with their websites across various categories including performance, accessibility, best practices, search engine optimization, and progressive web app. It is built on top of Google’s open source website auditing tool known as Google Lighthouse. You can read more about it here.
We wanted to let you know that we just released an update with some changes and improvements and you can learn about them below.
Google Lighthouse Update
The core auditing tool, Google Lighthouse, has been updated from 2.8.x to 4.1.0, the latest version as of February 3rd, 2019. The latest version is a lot faster and more stable than before.
We’ve had some technical challenges with automating the audit so it was disabled. Now it is back up and running again. If you are a paid subscriber, the audit will automatically run twice a month and you will have that nice graphical chart showing progress over period of time. If you are not a subscriber, your audit runs may be limited after the initial run.
We are adding a new feature called Issues where during automated audit runs, issues will be created automatically when there are items requiring your attention. For example, let’s say an audit ran and you passed the SSL security audit. Next time it runs, and if SSL is expired, your SSL audit will fair. In such case, an issue will be created automatically which you can track with your team and fix it.
We are working on many other new features to help you improve your website. Stay tuned for more updates!
